ONE GOD ONE PEOPLE FOCUSING FORWARD TOGETHER

Welcome To Holcomb Rock Baptist Church

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Mission Statement

Holcomb Rock seeks to be a place where all are invited to come in and

Worship God in Spirit and in Truth.

Vision Statement

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

(Proverbs 29:18)

Our vision is to save the lost, feed the hungry, and provide clothes for the

naked. Preach, Teach and Live by the Word of God. We must give

ourselves over to studying the Word daily and having it show in our

actions in the way we treat others. Always strive to encourage the

brokenhearted. Be a friend to the friendless and a brother/Sister to the

lonely.

Motto

Focusing Forward Together because Unity is our Strength!

Missions

Peanut Butter and Jelly Ministry:

Every week our church donates peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the Lynchburg Daily Bread, in an effort to address the hunger needs of our community. The Lynchburg Daily Bread serves a few hundred citizens daily, and often the one meal they receive from the Daily Bread, is the only meal they receive the entire day. Our ministry is to provide an additional grab and go sandwich as they leave the Daily Bread, so that they can have something to eat later in the day.

Missionaries:

For many years the heart of our church has focused on the mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to foreign nations. It has been our privilege to partner with missionaries in West Africa and in India. Our support to those missionaries has allowed churches to be have been planted and has allowed the people of those nations to receive the necessary training to operate those churches. Out of the safety of our missionaries abroad, in lands of critical safety concerns,  we will not mention their names.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
